For those of you that aren't familiar with Adobe Bridge it was first introduced with Adobe Creative Suite 2, Adobe Bridge is Adobe's all encompassing file manager for all things Adobe. It can handle Adobe Photoshop files, Adobe Illustrator files, Adobe InDesign Files, Adobe Acrobat Files, etc. It also handles digital camera RAW files with the help of Adobe Camera RAW (ACR). It allows you to process your image files using the various Adobe Creative Suite 2 applications. For example instead of having to load Adobe Photoshop CS2 to batch process some images you can do it right from Bridge.

Bridge is surprisingly powerful considering it doesn't look all that impressive when you first look at it. It looks kind of like Windows Explorer in some ways and at first glance you might think it is just a souped up file manager, but it goes far beyond that. And, because of the hidden power in this flexible workflow tool you really need something that will not only tell you what it is capable of doing you need something that can teach how to use it and get the most from it because it can make your life easier, more productive and yes even more fun.

Secrets of Adobe Bridge is just the book to do this. This surprisingly small book containing only 100 pages if you don't count the index pages is in full color and loaded with screen shots. But because it is a small book you don't have to feel overwhelmed with 1000's of pages to read. It is easy to understand, logically laid out, nicely designed and quite thorough. But, most importantly it "will" help you get the most from Adobe Bridge.

Chapters:

Chapter 1: Navigating the Interface

Chapter 2: Organizing Files

Chapter 3: Managing Files in the Bridge

Chapter 4: Bridge Scripts

Chapter 5: Adobe Stock Photos

Chapter 6: Integration

Chapter 7: The Bridge Center for the Creative Suite Only

Chapter 8: Working with Camera RAW

Chapter 9: Cache Management

This is the perfect book for anyone that wants to learn more about probably the most under used Adobe application. Why not use it; it comes free with most Adobe applications. If you want to get the most from your software investment then learning Bridge will help you do that and this small book will help you do that in just an hour or two.
